Every farm and station, across Australia, have stock brands to identify their grazing stock. Dandaraga Station had stock brands registered in the name of “W.S. Vincent” and “Vincent and Buzzard” in 1912. This would lead to the assumption that Millar was a partner in the Dandaraga Pastoral Company. The register of stock brands was not updated regularly as their brands were still on the register in 1924, after they sold the station.

Gold was found on the station in 1903 and the town of Maninga Marley was built to service the goldfields in the area. Gold was still being mined in 1927 but there is no information on when the mines closed. Today there is major mining activity in the area.

Millar was also travelling between Dandaraga and Moora as he was picked for the Skinner’s Cricket Team in Moora in November 1912.
